During this 90 minute session you will be introduced to the 6 fundamental principles of the original teaching of Joseph Pilates who invented “ Contrology” otherwise known today as Pilates .
Master teacher,Thalia Thomas, will share her 34 years of experience and knowledge to better prepare you to succeed at reaching your mind and body goals.

Prerequisite: All levels
Whether you are returning to exercise from an injury, are currently facing physical limitations and pain or want to protect your body from injury, this master class is for you.
You will learn how modify Pilates exercises to protect your body, skills on how to detect exercises that are not appropriate for you, and safe practical tips you can implement to thrive in a group class setting .
Areas of concern that we will address are knee, hip, neck, shoulders and lower back. Along with vital preventative information to protect your body from further complications.

The first two weekends we will explore the Classical Mat repertoire from a Contemporary perspective infused with an awareness of somatics & embodiment. We will also cover Anatomy and History of Pilates/Scope of Practice . This module is open to committed practitioners as well as current instructors wanting to review or delve deeper into the Mat work.

The second two weekends we will explore the Reformer and will include both Classical and Contemporary repertoire.

The final two weekends we will delve deeper into group class sequencing on the reformer and hands on adjustments in private and group class setting.

*Please note that 50% of the price is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. In the event of an absence, make-up hours can be completed by booking an additional private session(s) for $150 per hour
